Vitamin E prevents the formation of the so called foam cells that usually ruin the work of arteries and just clog them. The doctors assume that free radicals start the chain reaction by attacking LDL cholesterol. At this moment our body answers back by activating the immune system. What happens next? The white blood cells are produced by the immune system and then the cholesterol starts the formation of foam cells. Vitamin E, actually, prevents this situation. Food sources of vitamin E are olive oil, peanuts, sweet potatoes, sunflower seeds and wheat germ. Finally, one of the great antioxidant properties is green tea.
